Valentine’s Day

February 14, an evening for two that becomes an artwork

For Valentine’s Day, you give an evening for two at home, then an artwork composed from the variations of both your hearts during that evening. An artwork to keep on your wall, long after February 14.

What happens on the night

You each wear a smart ring, you sit facing each other, and you press Start. After that, the two of you are alone in the room, face to face: you look at each other and talk freely.

Half an hour is enough. The guide accepts ten minutes to one hour, and most couples stop naturally around thirty minutes. The smart rings record only variations in the heartbeat: your words stay between the two of you.

To start the conversation, the guide offers ten questions, in a chosen order, to ask each other out loud. The guide is a document to print and set down between you.

The February calendar

Rings leave the studio within three business days, with a tracking number, and take one to two weeks to arrive. In February, postal services slow with the holiday mail. Allow three weeks: order in the third week of January.

In February, order anyway and give the moment on the 14th: the box of rings arrives afterwards, and you live the evening the following week, or the following month, whenever you choose.

The artwork arrives about two weeks after your evening: you receive the gift twice, a month apart.

An artwork composed from both your hearts

The final shape of the artwork comes from the variations of your two hearts while you sit facing each other, on the evening you choose.

You choose an artwork and two colours; the studio composes the rest from your evening, and the artwork is unique: another evening would give another artwork. The artwork arrives with its certificate of authenticity, carrying the date and time of your evening.

For a surprise

Two ring sizes are asked for at checkout, one per person. Quietly measure the inner diameter of a ring they already wear, and size up if you hesitate.

On the day, you hand over a box with two smart rings and a charger, and you explain the gift out loud: that explanation is part of the gift.
